Video Premiere: Muck and the Mires – ‘Beat Revolution’

Boston-based rockers Muck and the Mires are sharing their new video, “Beat Revolution,” and you can check it out premiering here at New Noise.

The band have been described as a blend of Hamburg-era Beatles and the CBGBs-era Ramones, building a worldwide following since their formation with relentless touring, radio and satellite airplay, and a number of recordings, which many now consider to be cult classic, produced by Kim Fowley and Jim Diamond.

Muck and the Mires really took off after they were featured on MTV as the winner’s of Little Steven Van Zandt’s (E-Street Band/Underground Garage) national battle of the garage bands contest.

The new album, Beat Revolution, follows their highly successful album, Greetings From Muckingham Palace, which earned the honor of Coolest Song in the World (for “I’m Your Man,” specifically) on the Underground Garage SIRIUS XM show.

Muck chats more about the new track:

“’Beat Revolution’ is a rally cry celebrating the return of rock and roll in its original explosive form. In the accompanying video, this Boston-based quartet shares our revolutionary forefathers’ rebellious spirit to combat the status quo. And the revolution has just begun. ‘Beat Revolution’ is also the title track of our upcoming album on Dirty Water Records. So come joint the ‘Beat Revolution!’”

In celebration of the new single and video, Muck and the Mires will jam out this weekend for a couple live shows. Check out those dates below:

Friday, September 2 – Medford, MA @ The Porch (w/ the Woggles)
Saturday, September 3 – New York, NY @ Bowery Electric (w/ the Woggles)
