Video Premiere: Nick Frater – ‘I Know You Know I Know’

Nick Frater

Multi-instrumentalist and producer Nick Frater has developed a reputation for very classic melodies that harken back to some of rock and pop’s greatest classics, with some comparing him to such staples as The Beatles and Burt Bacharach. Yet still, he finds a way to take a step into modern rock to his classic melodies. If you have any love of the timeless and classic sounds of ’50s and ’60s pop (and how couldn’t you?), you’ll have to appreciate Nick Frater.

Today, Frater is debuting the animated lyric video for his new single “I Know You Know I Know” off his upcoming album Oh Contraire! which is due out on February 28 from Think Like A Key Records. “I really wanted to write a big riff classic rock song, so went all in, with wailing guitars and cowbell. It’s a song about infidelity that tells the story from all three people’s points of view,” explains Frater about the track. And boy, does this song fit the description of “big riff classic rock song,” bringing a modern guitar-style to Frater’s classic pop melodies. The 8-bit computer graphics of the video complete the full retro vibe. Check out the video below.

Oh Contraire! is out on February 28 and you can preorder it from Think Like a Key. Follow Nick Frater on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for future updates.
