Portland, Oregon’s Old Cross hearken back to the best of the 2000s melodic punk scene, pulling influences from AFI, The Used, and Alkaline Trio. Between their debut, self-titled EP and their 2020 debut LP Daggers on Zomie! Media Records, they’ve made a name for themselves with their unique blend of power and melody. Now, get ready for their sophomore effort Dead End Lullabies out October 25.
Today, they’re debuting the video for their latest single off the new album called “The Attic.” “The Attic was originally written a decade ago after losing a close friend and was never officially released. Since the new album will basically be an anthology of the last three years following my dad’s passing, The Attic felt relevant and right at home with the newly written record,” explains frontman Chris Hahn.
With powerful emotional intensity, slick production, and an emotional core, this track packs a wallop. The smokey video sees the band playing the track with a ferocious power, putting all their emotion on the table. Check out the video below.
“The Attic” hits streaming tomorrow and you can presave it here. Follow Old Cross on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for future updates.
