Video Premiere: Potionseller – ‘Monarchs Club’

Grand Rapids, Michigan’s emo darlings Potionseller are the brainchild of frontman Austen Reno who earned his reputation as a member of  If Only, If Only (fka Backpacks). Following the breakup of If Only, If Only, Reno started writing his own songs, first recording them on his own, and then adding bandmates Jake Bartell on bass, drummer John Wilson, rhythm guitarist Andy Morris, and lead guitarist Nate Leritz. They’re set to release their debut EP with PNWK Records on July 19th called When They Get Old, which was produced by produced by Ryan Malicsi of Hot Mulligan.

Today the band are debuting the video for their latest single “Monarchs Club,” a classic emo banger that perfectly utilizes the old Pixies loud-quiet-loud style. While the video is a powerful, emotional song, the video is a lot more fun, depicting a band member in a goofy underground boxing match. Check out the video below.
