Raised On Candy, a trio with roots in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York Tri-State, combine elements of indie rock, post-punk, and shoegaze into a masterful and fresh sound.
Comprised of Joe Penna (vocals/guitar), Scotty Imp (drums/percussion), and Kevin Harris (bass/vocals), the trio realized the importance of capturing their collective energy in a recording—a testament to the raw, unfiltered essence of their sound. Amidst the fervor of creativity, a decision was made—a pilgrimage to Electrical Audio in Chicago, to work with the legendary Steve Albini.
In March 2024, armed with their instruments and a shared vision, they ventured to Electrical Audio, and with Albini’s guidance, they plunged into the depths of their sound. Their self-titled debut LP is a testament to their dedication and the transcendent power of collaborative creation. Purchase it here.
Today, the band shares their dizzying video for “Nishuane Park.”
