French, avant-garde, instrumental guitarist Raoul EDEN has a reputation for a “primitive spirit” and a unique style that draws on European folklore, orientalism, Indian râga and classical lyricism. Today, he’s debuting a live session of his song “Red Sun of a Moonless Morning,” a song off his album INCARNATION that came out a year ago. Recorded in one session in the winter in an abandoned house in the snowy region of French Massif Central, there’s a primal spirit to this song that creates a rustic beauty that can be felt in the depths of the human soul. “With this song, I tried to take the listener on a journey through a forest of symbols from Tarot, astrology and occultism,” Raoul EDEN explains. “It reflects the existence of man, his desolation and possible rebirth into the soul of the world.”
