The Baltimore punk ‘n’ rollers Ravagers are not resting on a high note with the positive reception their 2023 debut Badlands brought them, and they quickly follow up with their sophomore effort, On The Loose, slated for release on April 5. The band dropped the video for “Dogs” as the first single to mark the occasion and announced an extensive tour through parts of Europe in Spring. The rockers engulfed within freezing Orwellian urban decay make their surroundings reminiscent of city battlegrounds patrolled by Snake Pliskin and John Spartan. Below, the band go into the idea behind the song.
“There were some wild pit bulls wreaking havoc in my neighborhood for about a week. It reminded me of the punk movie ‘Suburbia,’ and I thought it would be fun to write a song about it. I think it came out great, so we decided to do a video for it unintentionally on one of the year’s coldest days. We think it also came out great. Now, we can’t wait to drop the new record just in time for our second European tour in April. Things seem to be coming together nicely. See you soon!”
