St. Louis’ Rum Luck are here to educate you on the history of ska with their latest single and video, “Until Then.” The four-piece ska-punk act formed in spring 2023 and have been lighting up stages and sound systems ever since. With a sound and attitude rooted in ’90s skate culture, they’ve been said to be reminiscent of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtrack that introduced so many to ska punk in the 1990s.
Today, Rum Luck is debuting the video for their latest single, “Until Then.” The song is about coming together through music and also about how the two-tone ska movement was so instrumental in bringing so many related genres into the mainstream. With a deep understanding of ska culture and an infectious ska rhythm, this is a track that truly stands as a tribute to the genre in all its forms. Add in the frenetic music video and you have a recipe for a modern ska classic. The track doesn’t drop on streaming services for another week, but you can check out the video below.
