Milford, Connecticut pop-punk band Scooped Up! are sharing their new video, “Best Days,” and you can check it out right here at New Noise.
Scooped Up! are fully DIY, doing all their own art, graphic design, photography, videography, merch, and music. They first formed in 2016 and have since released two EPs and an album, along with a new LP on the way slated for later in 2022.
The band have also shared 12 music videos, all shot and directed by the members themselves. They cite ’90s and early-2000s pop=punk and skate-punk bands as their main influences, including blink-182, MxPx, Sum 41, Screeching Weasel, and Green Day. Scooped Up! also note that they hope to bring back the early-2000s sound of pop punk with their music.
The band chat more about the track and video:
“This music video was one of the most ambitious music videos we made. It took a few weeks to shoot at the end of last summer. it was super fun to make but also a headache planning out some of the shots. ‘Best Days’ is about growing up and taking for granted all the time we have when we are young. Everybody is nostalgic for stuff from 10-20 years ago not even realizing that in a few years they will be nostalgic about right now.”
