April 11, marks the release of Wyoming punk rock’s Shocktroopers’ latest single and video, “All I Wanna Do.” This is the second single off the upcoming Shocktroopers’ album, Pierce the Sky, set to release early this fall. The album is being released via Tranquilo Records.
From frontman Tyler Sanz on the song:
The song is about… becoming the person you never thought you would be when you were growing up. It’s funny how priorities change when you get older and you worry about everyday tasks that never concerned you 20 years prior. Don’t get me wrong, though, I’m still young and like to have a good time, but home ownership really changes a man. Wondering if you left the lights on in the garage or if the lawn needs mowed would definitely account for some sleepless nights. I had a blast dressing up and becoming a grumpy old man, and the video really let me cut loose and find out that I’m a much better dancer than my wife gives me credit for.
The production was a family effort. Married couple Chet Steadman (Tyler Samz) and Tit Nugent (Katie Samz) lead production with Steadman starring and directing and Nugent acting as the principal photographer.
