Teens In Trouble, the new project from Raleigh, North Carolina songwriter Lizzie Killian, are sharing their new music video “I’m Not Worried” off their upcoming self-titled debut EP due July 15. Check out the video, premiering today at New Noise!
The debut single is a catchy punk-rock anthem, boasting direct lyricism, huge guitars, and nodding to the fuzzy sounds of ’90s alt-rock like Weezer and Pixies, though it’s equally informed by Killian’s own experience as a youth in revolt. She’s joined in the video by her dog, Malkin, acting as a superhero pilot guiding Teens In Trouble’s galactic tour ship to their next gig.
Killian expands on the new album and video:
“This has been an incredible labor of love made with some very special people and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate putting new music out there. The making of this song and video have brought together old and new friends that both blend my musical past and journey to discovering my musical present. I also see my dog in a brand new light after this—I mean, I knew he was a good boy, but now I know he is a VERY GOOD BOY.”
