One of our favorite punk acts, San Francisco’s Tess & The Details, are back with their first new music since their 2023 debut album Runaways on Double Helix Records. Today, they’re debuting the video for their new single “Take Me Alive,” a hard-driving punk anthem with muscular punk guitars topped off with a powerhouse vocal performance from Tess Stevens that ranges from sultry to fiery. The video of the band performing the song is absolutely electrifying and adds an immediacy to a song that’s already a punk rock juggernaut.
“The song is about rejecting the stupidity we see online, unplugging ourselves from the things that cause us self-doubt,” explains Stevens. “It’s about telling the world to ‘take you alive’ as you truly are.”
