Video Premiere: The Goodwin Club – ‘See All Color’

The Goodwin Club

Longtime ska fans might remember ska/punk group The Goodwin Club from the ’90s when they opened for the likes of Reel Big Fish, No Doubt, Sublime, and The Aquabats. Hailing from Huntington Beach, California, most of the members met as students at Edison High School and, after putting out one album called Soda, the band dissolved when members went off to college. Still, many members of the band went on to play roles in such big-name ska bands as Reel Big Fish, The Hippos, The Scholars, and Teen Heroes. Well, get ready for one of the biggest comebacks in ska history, as The Goodwin club recently signed to SoCal indie punk label Wiretap Records for their big comeback album Join the Club.

Today, we’re proud to debut the video for The Goodwin Club’s new single “See All Color,” which hits streaming services tomorrow. A rousing, shout-along ska anthem about discovering the joy in life, “See All Color” is a more than worthy successor to the band’s legacy. Get ready to skank for joy!

“Thirty years between album releases might sound impossible to some,” say the band about the new album, “but we in The Goodwin Club stare impossibility square in the eyes and say NAY, It shall be done!
“We’ve loved creating the best high-energy live show possible together these past few years but now we’ve bottled up that energy, churned it like crazy and channeled it into our new album, Join The Club coming out on Wiretap Records, this summer. We can’t wait for you to listen, come to the shows again, and … JOIN. THE. CLUB!!!”
Utilizing footage of the band from their early live shows, the video beautifully capture the joyful energy of the band and rouses a sense of nostalgia for the heyday of third-wave ska. Check out the video below.
