Video Premiere: The Lowcocks – ‘May Day’

The Lowcocks

The Lowcocks’ new video for “May Day”—directed DIY-style by the band’s own Ryan DeLiso—fuses raw, gritty visuals with the band’s relentless fist-pumping energy. Think The Distillers meet Anti-Flag with a pit-ready intensity that hits hard.

“Watching police rain violence down on peaceful protestors day after day, it  becomes easy to feel powerless, like nothing you do makes a difference—but these kids stood up for what they believe, and stood up for those without a voice in the face of incredible opposition,” reflects The Lowcocks vocalist Annie Oakley. “We stand with the students and those impacted by unjust policies, both around the world and here at home.”

“MayDay” is the first new song from The Lowcocks following their well-received 2024 sophomore album Contender, which exploded onto the modern punk scene with intricate guitar lines, whip-fast bass, and manic drums, all overlaid with driving melodies and infectious hooks.

Fans can listen to MayDay now and look forward to summer tour dates throughout the Midwest.
