Hardcore street punks The Unseen return with new music after 20 years of their last studio release. The new song is called “The Enemy of My Enemy (Is Still a Fucking Snake).” It is part of their upcoming three-song EP Enemy of My Enemy (Is Still a Fucking Snake). The band recorded the video with punk filmmaker Josh Roush. The video contains footage from this year’s LA Punk Invasion Fest and also footage from Josh’s coverage of anti-ICE protests this summer.

The band share their thoughts about the song:

“We grew up on 7-inches. Back then, the liner notes, hand-done lyric sheets, and pictures of the bands were almost as cool as the music. You lose that with a digital release. The Unzine lets you hold something in your hands while you listen, without giving up the convenience of a download. Plus, you actually own the songs instead of renting them from some fucking platform. Streaming still sucks. This just makes it suck less.”

The band share their thoughts about the title-track:

“Every time Trump opens his mouth, there’s a groundswell of support for any government official willing to call out his fuckery. We get the knee-jerk urge to back anyone who isn’t him. But that doesn’t mean we should throw our support behind career politicians who’ve spent decades protecting corporate interests, the status quo, and war agendas. This song is a reaction to that.”
