Video Premiere: Throwlight – ‘Back Down’

Throwlight

Orange County, California’s metal/hip-hop/hardcore group Throwlight are just getting started, but the future looks very bright. Made up of childhood friends, the band feature underground rapper Rocom teamed with high school friends Kevin Betz and Chris Ellis. Rocom’s frequent collaborator King of Somewhere provides synths to round out the sound, creating a sound that’s unique amongst rap-metal artists.

Today, the band are debuting the video for their first single, “Back Down,” a song that was produced by Paul Miner (Death By Stereo, Fear, New Found Glory, Adolescents, etc). With a Linkin Park-esque blend of moody darkness and aggressive rap vocals, this track is absolutely exploding with rap-metal power. The video sees the band performing the track amidst a frightening sci-fi dystopian backdrop to perfectly match the intense mood of the song.

Check out the video below.

Keep an eye out as Throwlight are putting the finishing touches on their debut album, so follow them on Instagram for future updates.
