Durham, North Carolina’s Treasure Pains are here to show you what they’ve got left to give in a world moving backwards. The four-piece made up of Zach (Youth League), Jessi, and Kellette and Kyle (wolvesx4), has been continuing to develop their melodic post-hardcore sound. We had the pleasure of premiering their track “Vines” last year off their Charming EP that came out in October of last year. Now they’re back with a Split EP with Spares that’s out September 26 via Council Records and Wiretap Records.
Today, the band are premiering the video for their new single “Left to Give,” which comes out tomorrow but you can see and hear it here a day early. The song is an angry and defiant anthem of frustration at a world gone wrong that features Treasure Pains’ familiar talent of marrying melody to power. The video, which appears to have been filmed in some sort of restaurant, perfectly matches the intensity of the song.
“’Left to Give’ is about the anger and exhaustion felt watching society move rapidly backwards, while so many others don’t even seem to notice or care,” say the band about the song. Check the video out below.
