Video Premiere: Venerea – ‘Summer of ’94’

Swedish band Venerea are sharing their new video and single, “Summer of ’94,” and you can check it out premiering right here at New Noise.

The band first rose to prominence during Sweden’s mid-’90s punk room, creating a number of genre-defining album and touring extensively throughout Europe, with occasional stops in North America and Asia, sharing the stage with everyone from Snfu and Bad Religion to NOFX and Propagandhi.

The band are looking ahead to August 26, when they will release their new full-length, Euro Trash, via SBÄM Records, jam-packed with instant bangers.

Venerea’s sound is instantly recognizable, with lyrics exploring “possible byproducts of COVID, morbid rubbernecking, needy musicians, forced adoption, extreme nerdery, obese hijinx, the biography of an ex-drummer’s wife (in two parts), requited self-deception, the imaginary world, and the importance of sucking,” according to Venerea.
