Video Premiere: Walk the Plank – ‘Dugout’ and ‘I Don’t Believe’

Walk the Plank

Washington D.C. punks Walk the Plank are finally back after a four year hiatus. It’s been a long six years since their last release, 2018’s Void Treader EP, and seven years since 2017’s Cemetery Vacation. With a pumelling hardcore style, their recent EP Loathe, out now from Mt. Crushmore Records, is a roaring return to life for the hardcore quintet.

“I was living alone in Washington D.C at the time,” says vocalist Ian Crocker regarding the album’s inspiration. “There was a lot of toxicity and negativity around me. Both socially and on a larger-scale, globally. These lyrics are a manifestation of those emotions and a commentary on what I was seeing every day.”

Check out the rip-roaring new album below.

In addition to the new album, Walk the Plank want you to check out two videos from their record release show that was held on January 13 at Atlas Brew Works in D.C. The first is a live performance of the song “Dugout” off of the new EP, while the second is “I Don’t Believe” off of Cemetery Vacation. The videos are brimming with a powerful live energy that you can feel even over video. Check them out below.

Loathe is out now and you can order it and listen to it via Mt. Crushmore Records. Follow Walk the Plank on Facebook and Instagram for future updates.
