Video Premiere: Waterfront – ‘Worth Fighting For’

Alberta, Canada alternative rock band Waterfront are sharing the new video, “Worth Fighting For,” premiering exclusively here at New Noise.

The band have played together since 2019, consisting of Dan Sequeira on vocals, Ryan Ross and Devin Taylor on guitars, Tanner Cyr on bass, and Graham Jantz on drums. The members are also all either students of alumni of the University of Lethbridge music department, eager to bring their high-energy tracks and heartfelt lyrics to listeners and community members alike, as live shows and performance opportunities return.

The new track, “Worth Fighting For,” was recorded in Vancouver alongside new material for their forthcoming EP; it follows the first single from the project, “Three Years Later,” which is currently available to stream. The group plans to release more singles from the project throughout the year.

The band chat more about the new single and the meaning behind it:

“’Worth Fighting For’ is a love song analogy for pursuing the silver lining in life. Introspection into where we’re each at right now, two years into a life changing global event. For some, it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning, and for others, it’s hard to decipher what and who is worth having and fighting to keep in your life. Our new song is pushing to find the self-motivation instead of codependency to best figure out what is worth fighting for”
