Worm at the Core are sharing their new song and music video “Beautiful Cage,” created by Elise McFarland.

The band share their thoughts:
“Worm at the Core was created out of a need to continue creating, but first I felt the need to end Grim Deeds and start something new, albeit similar. The name comes from a quote by American philosopher and psychologist William James, who described our fear of death as fundamental to human consciousness and behavior. With that heavy concept in mind, I’m aiming to express deep thoughts via the crude and cartoony form of old-school pop punk.”
Worm at the Core is the latest project by Grim Deeds, who is known for being the iconic one-man punk band. Grim Deeds have released 27 albums over the last nine years and unfortunately called it quits two years ago. Worm at the Core happen to be the continuation of Grim Deeds. This project enlists renowned punk artist Ben Minter, who will design art for each single and their upcoming album. The band’s first official music video is an animated one created by Elise McFarland.
