Video Premiere: Yesterday’s Hero – ‘Killing Me’

Ohio-based alt-metal band Yesterday’s Hero are riding high off the release of their latest album Ways to Hate last November. The band—who have shared stages with the likes of Escape the Fate, Powerman5000, The Convalescence, and Gemini Syndrome—are committed to a very analog-based experience. “We pride ourselves on using raw gritty tube amps, no backing tracks or plug-ins,” the band explains. ” There is no need for a laptop as we intentionally step back from today’s norm. What you hear on the record is what you’ll hear live, note for note. We have simple intentions along with catchy riffs with relatable lyrics. We want to give music fans a nostalgic taste for our music experience with a bit of new raw live sound.”

Today, the band are debuting their latest video off of Ways to Hate, “Killing Me.” The song is a straightforward alt-metal rager for fans of the late-90s/early-2000s nu-metal scene. The video follows a series of drawings to create a dark and mysterious noir-type atmosphere. “Drive and groove is what you’ll get,” explain the band about the song. “Lyrically you will hear a man grasping the reality that the relationship is tearing him apart.”
