Canadian rockers Nameless Friends are still flying high off the release of their 2023 debut album Blasphemy that combines glam, prog punk, and metal elements into a slick yet powerful force of nature propelled by the femme vocals and political lyrics. To celebrate the success of Blasphemy, and in response to feedback that their live performances dwarf their performances on the record, the band are releasing a deluxe version of Blasphemy with live versions of all the tracks and one new song called “Mezzanine.”
Today, we’re spotlighting the video for that one new track, “Mezzanine.” Opening on a slow simmer and building into a burst of power and energy, the track is a perfect combination of power and melody thanks to the gorgeous vocal performance. The video sees the band performing the song alongside interpretive dancers, offering a unique artistic take on the simmering track. Check out the video below.
