Video Spotlight: Rollin’ Coffin – ‘Heaven Knows’

Rollin' Coffin

Rollin’ Coffin are the brainchild of Tim Williams, former frontman for projects like Vision of Disorder and Bloodsimple. Now, focusing on a more garage rock sound, Rollin’ Coffin explores a very different realm for Williams. The band’s debut EP Product of Demise came out via Static Era Records and was produced by Jon Markson (Story So Far, Drug Church). Now Williams is working with producer Machine (Lamb Of God, Fall Out Boy, Clutch) on the follow-up, to be released on Static Era later this year.

Today, we’re spotlighting the video for Rollin’ Coffin’s grungy new track “Heaven Knows.” “When I first heard ‘Heaven Knows’ come across the speakers in the studio,” explains Williams, “I knew it was going to showcase the project. The day of the video shoot , the locations , Coney Island.. you know what they say about NYC – anything can happen…. And what happened was we got a killer video for you all to enjoy!!!!”

“From the Freak Bar to the Sideshow stage, Coney Island has a conflicted history that embraces the idea of outcasts and freaks in a dark spectacle of entertainment,” explains the video director Jerry Farley. “‘Heaven Knows’ embodies a solitude within a crowd where only the skies above will know our true personal nature.”
