The Raging Nathans and Wonk Unit Kick Off US Tour

Raging Nathans - Wonk Unit tour 2016

Dayton, Ohio’s The Raging Nathans are hitting the road with their London, UK counterparts, Wonk Unit in support of their recent split 7″ out on Rad Girlfriend Records. If you know either of the bands at all, it’s easy to imagine the madcap adventures down to The Fest will most likely resemble a punk rock version of the road trip comedy classic, It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World! or perhaps the even more ridiculous Cannonball Run series.

The Raging Nathans have a great awareness of their ridiculousness. When asked how to describe the band, Josh Goldman (Founder of Rad Girlfriend records, occasional touring member of The Queers & full time member of The Dopeamines) says with a big laugh, “tell them that we ‘voted #2 punk band in Dayton Ohio by some website!'”

Sure the Raging Nathans wear their influences on their sleeves, but the band is anything but generic! They have taken their long time love of punk rock and filtered it through their own vision to make something that feels very familiar and authentic, but at the same time keeping with their sense of humor.

It’s that sense of humor and authenticity that the band will be taking on the road to The Fest in Gainesville, Florida. What could go wrong?
