Band scout extraordinaire Toby Jeg of Red Scare Industries wrangled up another key player, signing Arms Aloft for the release of their new album What A Time To Be Barely Alive. The new full-length will be released physically on September 9th, with a digital release set for September 2nd. You can pre-order the album here: CD | Vinyl

Arms Aloft vocalist/guitarist Seth Gile comments on the new music & signing:

“I swear we’re not a lazy band, we’re just old, in punk years, and as such move at a fucking glacial pace. The only way we’ve ever managed to motivate ourselves to do anything as a band is to set deadlines. Or rather have them set for us. So we booked a week of studio time about 6 months out and got to work. We were starting to put demos together and were lucky enough to get a great group of friends who run DIY labels, who were all willing to lose some money on it. Then we were about a week from going into the studio when Toby from Red Scare emailed and said, ‘I hear there’s money to be lost. Sign me up.’ So it sort of went from, ‘We should make another record, right?’ to, ‘Oh shit, we’re making a record that a lot of people are going to hear.’ But like I said, pressure works for us somehow, and the end result is something we’re really stoked on and really proud of. We’ve had it done since April and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”
