Akron, Ohio rock band Red Sun Rising have premiered the video for their new single “Amnesia.” The song is the third single from Polyester Zeal, the bands debut record out on Razor & Tie. The video is rather comical, showcasing the band in different contexts of music eras and styles. The video was directed by Ryan Valdez in Los Angeles and emulates what it would be to see these different eras in a late night channel surfing excursion. Lead singer Mike Protich commented on the video, “We take our art seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We just wanted the video shoot to be fun and the end product to be different. The result was a reflection of our personalities 99% of the time. This band has always taken inspiration from everywhere, and showcasing some of those different musical eras and styles in the video was a fun way to represent that. The ‘infomercial’ was a way to poke fun at the fact that the music industry isn’t what it used to be.
