Thank You For Being a Friend
(Bird Attack Records)

It’s no small feat for a band that hasn’t put out an album in nearly two decades to come back and release new material that’s actually worthy of a listen. But that’s exactly what one of punk’s most underrated bands has managed to pull off here, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

“Advice Column,” “All the Right Words,” and “Turned to Grey” are just a few examples of the many fine-tuned melodic hardcore tracks found here. Old school fans of these guys should have zero to complain about, even if former bassist Joe Principe isn’t involved in this recent reunion (after all, he is busy with that little band he plays in now that you may have heard of called Rise Against…).
