Melodic death metal band Frantic Amber just unveiled their latest record, Bellatrix, out in August via GMR Music and Vanity Music.

The record itself is an ode to the female warrior, taking their name and inspiration from that famous trope. This is the second release from the band, and everything about the record screams fierce and female. All of the songs focus on a similar theme, and while the music is heavy and in-your-face, some of the best moments on the album come from its softer touches.

Standout tracks are “Joshitai,” a song for which the band has already released a lyric video, and “Scorched Earth,” probably one of the most thrashy and fun songs on the record.
