Old school hard rock from Germany with a hammond organ included and used to its fullest, this first album is a forceful venture, but also aligns itself with occasional blues and a very prominent ’70s feel. While the first half of the album is a bit more abrasive, with giant guitar solos and powerful, dynamic singing, the second half explores atmosphere and prog-rock tendencies in a way that will sit well with Deep Purple fans.

Further proof that the ’70s laid the groundwork for countless others, Hound’s reinvented version will remind you of what you loved about Thin Lizzy, and is delivered in a refreshing, intense, creative fashion.
