The trio of Naomi Punk offer us 25 tracks on this double LP, which were recorded from 2015-2017 in various places and results in well over an hour of the band’s most ambitious and least definable work. Often lo-fi and fractured with bouts of experimental noise, heavy samples, field recordings, four track recordings and jagged interludes, the dark melodies and haunting moments really define the listen, giving it an odd, memorable appeal. Genres explored touch abstractly on 80s post-punk, modern day grunge and psyche-rock, thought mostly it falls closest to art-punk weirdness that stands apart from just about anything else being created today.
