The first time one is introduced to a band like The Sword, it’s immediately apparent they’re on their own wavelength. Now already on their sixth album, the band seems to continue further down the right path.

Used Future takes its listeners on a trip back to the days of ‘70s garage rock, with epic stoner riffs that echo the likes of early Black Sabbath, often breaking into mind-altering jam sessions. “Deadly Nightshade” and “Twilight Sunrise” represent some of the album’s better numbers, while the animated music video for the title track is a fun throwback for old school gamers who are partial to the 16-bit variety. So spark up some incense (or whatever else you might have handy), switch on the lava lamp, and just enjoy the ride…
