All Them Witches
Sleeping Through The War
Nashville has a lot more to offer than just legions of alt-country, as prog-rock sensations All Them Witches have proved quite well over a handful of enthralling albums. Sleeping Through The War catches the band honing their craft to a science, alternating between thick, sludgy rock, groove and rhythm friendly meticulousness and their trademark blues-psyche-jam band approach. It’s a more direct hit than what we’re used to from the quartet, complete with backing female vocals on several tunes, and further illustrates that their ability to create hazy rock and sprawling, sonic diversity is among the best sounds being made today.
