At the onset of the indie-inspired dance rock of the early 2000’s was The Faint, with their electrifying brand of dizzying synth-punk. Though they didn’t see the commercial success that plenty of outfits who mirrored their style did, the band built a cult-like following that remains strong today, despite their limited activity in recent years. Capsule: 1999-2016 collects 17 tracks from between those 17 years, as well as 2 brand new songs that give us a peek as to what The Faint could do in the future. It acts as a both a great reminder of how ahead of their time The Faint were, as well as a great introduction for those who were absent during their heyday.
