Bay Area deathcore beasts Stoic Suffering have unveiled a complex and brutalizing music collective. The album presents the chaos of the world and delves into darker realms. It is complex, and every moment will need your full attention.
Let’s kick off with the first track, “The Star People.” This is an explosive and dark piece; it gives an allure of curiosity. “An Early Warning” feels like the warning our planet has known for some time now. “Beware The Q” is volatile and grinding metal switching to dark howls climaxing into a nasty beat. The creativity is there in this track, almost reminiscent of Skinny Puppy. “Gravital” takes us into a dark interstellar experience. There is mixing, eerie death sounds, howls, intense drums; this is deathcore at its finest.
“Asteromorph” is my favorite. It begins with a symphony of sounds, intense strings and deep guitar riffs; I have never heard anything like this before. It’s beautifully bizarre; the listener will be hooked. Then it begins to dig deeper, the sound more penetrating. The vocals become more melodic, the drums deeper, and it dives right into another realm of madness.
The entire album will take you to places I can guarantee you have never gone, so get ready for the ride.
