Shudder to Think’s Who Sent You? is the band’s first project since 2025’s two track single—“Thirst Walk” and “Playback.” The new three-song EP is tightly packed with the band’s classic sound, an outpouring of strangeness that’s hard to find anywhere else.

The title track “Who Sent You” is filled to the brim with drama, swelling, simmering, and steadying at unexpected moments. Instrumentals take turns handing off the driving rhythm, swaying of a ship off its mooring. Frontman Craig Wedren’s familiar sirenic vocals ring out full and bellowing at times, delicate and whispering at others, from behind shrieking lead guitar lines and thrumming basslines.

Second on the tracklist is a cover of Depeche Mode’s “Something To Do,” a weird abstracted translation of the angsty boredom of the original. Shudder to Think’s take is manic and washed in a completely different tone that it’s starting point. It spins something more chaotic, more glamorous. The buzz of freneticism rings loud and sharp, and lands as something muddier that keeps the pulse of its origins. It renders legs restless and hands shaky.

The final song “Release the Ball” is an immediate pivot, taking shape as a much slower, hypnotic track. The song treads along gently, completely atmospheric in lulling heartbeats to a rest and pulling listeners off kilter in the EP’s final moments.

The release is an incredibly strong follow up to the 2025 release, and presents an exciting opportunity for more from the band after a decades long hiatus.
