Album Review: Archie And The Bunkers – Songs from the Lodge

Archie And The Bunkers - Songs From The Lodge

The best TV-themed band name since The Cast Of Cheers, these Cleveland brothers carry on the legacy of The Pagans and The Dead Boys with reckless, wild rock ‘n’ roll fueled solely by drums and organs.

Heavy on the proto-punk influence and with plenty of nods towards The Damned, vocally there are rough, raw moments, as well as blues and oldies style singing, as the duo prove there’s plenty to work with sans guitars. Emmett and Cullen O’Connor are really onto something here, and garage rock anthem “Laura” alone is worth the price of admission.
