Everlost US is an alternative rock solo project formed by Jared Kay. Recently Everlost US set up and organized a benefit show were 100% of profits went to the victims of the Orlando Pulse shooting.
This one man band plays catchy pop punk/alternative rock that really stands out from the pack of mediocre bands trying to play this type of music. He has made a recoding that flows well and sounds like a band, not a bunch of tracks just put together, but a cohesive and tight sound that has emotion and you can hear the longing in his voice especially on “What You Wanted.” “Tell Them They’re Wrong” is a great song that starts off mellow and builds and builds until it explodes and you are drawn into it and you don’t want it to let you go. The songs are well written and he is able to get his message in the lyrics out easily and his vocals have strength, as well as sweetness to them. The rocking “I’m Doing My Best” is a great track that soars and makes you hit the replay button over and over again.
I had no idea what to expect when I started listening, so this was a complete and total surprise to me and I enjoyed every second of it. This is a delight from start to finish with enough sugary bits mixed with saltier pieces to keep your interest and make you a fan.
