With the ever-rising popularity of Star Wars, it seemed like it was only a matter of time until it crossed over into the heavy metal world. Galactic Empire takes the classic John Williams-penned theme music from the films and turns it into every geeky metal head’s dream come true, all while playing anonymously in full empire gear (“Dark” Vadar of course being at the forefront of it all). Putting all cheesy aspects aside, the songs are actually played “most impressive” by some seriously skilled musicians, but you’ve definitely got to be in the right mood to listen to this though (if not it’s fairly easy to lose interest fast). And while this won’t be for everyone, it should at least hold over some of the real dedicated fans until the next movie comes out. If nothing else, check out the video for “Imperial March” below.
