Brooklyn by way of Austin’s Las Rosas made a good-sized dent with the pop-friendly psych and garage rock on their debut album last year, and this installment ups the ante with plenty of vocal harmonies, driving rhythms, and both twangy and spacey feelings.
While some tunes have a soulful aspect and may bring in organs, others are straight from the ’60s, with plenty of emphasis on guitar riffs and playful bass lines. Though they may be a trio, the sounds here are never thin, and they explore plenty of laid back and feel-good vibes with a timeless, adventurous spirit.
