Album Review: Motorama – ‘Dialogues’

Motorama - Dialogues

Motorama
Dialogues
(Talitres)

Though they hail from Russia, Motorama’s version of post-punk strongly resembles sounds emanating from the UK in the late ’70s, i.e. Joy Division, and as they’ve aged that Ian Curtis influence has evolved into a unique indie-pop slant. Plenty of synth melodies swirl around bouncing bass lines, and Vladislav Parshin’s deep English sung vocals further push a dynamic quality that’s both dreamy and dreary, pop friendly but yet rooted in punk.

Purchase Dialogues here.
