Nunslaughter / Gravewürm
Split 7″
(Hells Headbangers)
Drenched in hellfire and brimstone, two of the marquee bands in underground extreme metal are combined into one onslaught that will last no more than ten minutes – enough time to head bang to the raw groove of vintage black death.
Hells Headbangers have put together a re-issue of a Nunslaughter/Gravewürm split from ’07, a 7” picture disc that includes two tracks from each band. Side A comes with a Nunslaughter original and Gravewürm cover, and Side B is precisely the opposite. The split pretty much rules. Nunslaughter rock the cryptic edge so well with their performance of “The Red Ram” and the doom trodden “On The Icy Plains I Die.” Gravewürm’s second helping of suffering on the second half is brutal, to the point, and their cover of “Killed By The Cross” is a must in any die hard fan’s collection.
For $6.66 on Bandcamp, you really can’t go wrong.
