Made up of visual artist and bassist Aaron Martin and The Weeks’ guitarist Johny Fisher, the pair created this album while being holed up in cabin just outside of Nashville. Matching their love of psych-pop and Motown sounds, there’s a refreshing simplicity in this lo-fi, bedroom pop album, where the vivid storytelling is just as bright as the melodies and timeless ideas. Definitely a creative and unusual listen in the indie-rock realm, the duo’s psych-soul approach fills an underappreciated niche.
