Album Review: Red Black Red – Resettlement

Red Black Red - Resettlement

Electronic rock from New Jersey that takes cues from artists as diverse as NIN, Pink Floyd and Springsteen, mastermind Enrico Fernando came out of music retirement in 2015 after absorbing the music scene in nearby Asbury Park for this one man band. Certainly on the industrial side of the equation with emphasis on percussion, the album is full of distorted guitars and prog-friendly synth, while Fernando’s ebullient and raw vocals are as unpredictable as the music. Though it’s just Fernando at the helm, it moves with the intensity of a freight train, is entirely complex and is often as perplexing.
