An instrumental trio from California who are neither female nor sugary, this updated version of Italian Ghosts had the band re-record the original Italian Ghosts EP (released in 2011), and includes 4 new tracks plus vocals from Nic Newsham, Kathleen Delano, B Rolla, Joey Lancaster, and Sarah Glass among others. A band with vast influences beyond the obvious electronica and prog-rock, though the purely instrumental songs highlight acrobatic guitar playing and percussion (think Maserati), later in the disc things get spacey and ambient with calculated math-rock tendencies. Interestingly, the tracks with guest vocals are soulful and R&B influenced, some even ready for the dance floor.
