An indie-folk duo of Brooklyn’s Aaron Mendelsohn and Brooke Backman, the pair channel a very retro sound with their stories of post and pre-coital adventure, where charming acoustic work match Backman’s sweet, sexy vocals. Though they label their songs as love songs, hate songs, or songs about making out, what’s most memorable are the slow burning melodies and beautiful harmonies, as the album’s hushed and sultry approach easily validate their self-proclaimed ‘sex-folk’ tag.
