Album Review: Vincent John – ‘Never Go Back’

Vincent John - Never Go Back

Vincent John
Never Go Back
(Know Hope)

Perhaps more known for his work with soul musicians like Lee Field or Aaradhna, Vincent John takes a similar angle while injecting ’80s AM radio, and R&B into his version of pop that’s hook and beat filled. It’s a throwback New Wave listen with an irresistible flair that mirrors today’s most vibrant electro-pop, yet is undeniably retro in its delivery. Fans of New Order, Prince, The Cars and similar artists will most likely champion John as the next big thing, and rightfully so. This is irresistible.
