Voodoo Terror Tribe
The Sun Shining Cold
(Self-Release)
The Sun Shining Cold is by far the best album this band has put out and they are great, now more than ever. These songs are tied together like body and soul.
Astoundingly lyrical vocals by Gil PZ, impart a rhapsodic induction of their pleasing ritualistic trance. T-Bone’s pounding drum rhythms along with the bass playing of Primer, are like the possession which evokes images of vast scenescapes of lands and times passing by. Emir’s guitars add to the enchantment and hold us captivated. But does the music pose the threat that spirits will invoke terror upon us?
Only if the mojo of the ruckus has us lost in its exciting hullabaloo, amidst the din’s wizardry, only then is magic of voodoo being played upon us. Imagine that you’re gazing upon the stage which is their altar, and know that they will give you a kick before the farewell, so beware! You will escape unharmed and so much the better for having had the time of day with this great band.
Synth and various instrumentals, an interesting and eclectic array of diverse sounds, the band is likable as always – well worth the listen. In fact, you may consider that you’re part of the tribe, at least for the time being.
It won’t be a curse upon you, impose necromancy magic, or any supernatural force besides what is metal.
