I’m always a little skeptical when young bands put out live albums, but after hearing the praise thrown at The Wild Feathers for their live performances, it’s likely their fans won’t have any problems with this 3rd album being a double live disc. Recorded at a sold out performance in June 2016, The Wild Feathers are armed with 3 lead vocalists who all possess strong songwriting prowess, and the band’s guitar focused melody is illuminated here as they play fan favorites from their first 2 albums with exceptional sound quality. These guys wear their classic rock and Americana influences proudly, as they explore roots rock, soulful qualities and even jam band tendencies, occasionally bursting into charged rock not unlike Wilco on steroids. All the acclaim is spot on- these guys are great, and this album is further proof.
