Run For Cover Records is excited to announce their newest signing, Sweden’s The Sun Days. Their self-titled debut LP will be released on March 25, 2016 on Run For Cover Records continuing the label’s collaboration with Swedish indie Luxxury Records (Makthaverskan, Westkust) in Europe. Stereogum premiered a track off the album today titled “Don’t Need to Be Them”, calling The Sun Days “one of the best new bands in the world”. Pre-order for the LP is now available via the Run For Cover webstore.

Listen to “Don’t Need to Be Them” below.

The Sun Days are the latest promising export from Gothenburg’s burgeoning indie-pop scene. The album breathes new life into the Sarah Records sound of the UK in the 80’s, mixing the jangly, upbeat musicianship of bands like The Field Mice and Heavenly with a jaw-dropping vocal performance that rivals hometown contemporaries and label mates Makthaverskan and Westkust. Anthemic highlights like “Come Have Me Over” and “Don’t Need To Be Them” are true slices of dream-pop perfection that are sure to stick in your head whenever you think of sunnier days to come.
